Lunch will be served in a local restaurant en-route and continue your drive further to Ha Giang. We arrive Ha Giang by late afternoon, our destination today is Tha village , a small village situated in Phuong Do Commune, less than 10 kilometers Ha Giang City. The village has a tiny population of about 600 people, with only a total of 90 homes make up the whole neighborhood, traditional stilt houses made from wood and bamboo with a palm-thatched roof. Day 2: Tha Village - Ha Thanh Village - Quan Ba (B/L/D)
Breakfast with the local family. From the homestay, we start a trek for about 4 hours through the terraced rice paddies, majestic mountains and serene palm-tree forests to the village of Lung Vai . Along this trek, you will have plenty of chances to meet and talk with the minorities such as Man and Dao, who are generally more than happy to communicate and interact with. After enjoying a picnic lunch , we continue trekking for about 2 hours more to the village of Ha Thanh , home to the Tay Minority group. Walk along the river and have a relaxing swim at the waterfalls (in Summer time). From there you will begin your real adventure to Quan Ba , the land called “Heaven on Earth”. Venture through small villages and past vast agricultural landscapes and the sweeping mountains. After passing the Heaven’s Gate and Quan Ba’s Twin Mountain you will arrive at Nam Dam village inhabited by Dao Ethnic People (Indigo Dao or Long Dress Dao group). This charming village is nestled peacefully in a valley surrounded by Karts mountains, holds inside it preserved traditional customs, habits and culture from ancient times which is appealing to travelers. Tonight we stay at homestay with the local family in their traditional houses. The houses’ walls are built from compacted soil to make it cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter, protecting the people here from inclement weather in the high mountains. With fully equipped facilities and equipment, the homestay will make you feel happy and comfortable. Overnight at a local homestay.
Car

Once a week, buyers and sellers who are mostly ethnic minorities from the surrounding hills, including the Hmong, Tay, Nung and Hoa ethnic groups, flood into Dong Van for trade. Some come from miles away, walking on the side of the highway carrying goods on their back. By 5am the market is already alive with sounds of motorbikes and the smell of fresh Pho, the noodle soup. The market ends around 10am so set an alarm – it’s well worth the early wake up. After exploring the market you will take a short trek to Pu Lo , a French fortress built in 1890 located on a hill above the town. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Dong Van. In the afternoon, we leave Dong Van and wind your way back to Ha Giang City . Along the way, we pay a visit to Sa Phin Valley in Lung Phin Commune . It has formed a closed chain ranging from self-supply of raw materials to production and consumption and created jobs for 95 members in Sa Phin village.
